Sal Governale was originally a frequent caller to The Howard Stern Show who worked as a stockbroker. Stern took notice after numerous calls mocking Gary Dell'Abate. Although he came in second in the "Win John's Job" contest (to his writing partner, Richard Christy), Sal was eventually hired as a prank caller/writer for the show, and is now credited as a producer.
