Goldeneye is the name of James Bond novelist Ian Fleming's estate. In 1946 Fleming built his home on a cliff overlooking a private beach. With the exception of the first Bond novel, Casino Royale, Fleming wrote all his Bond stories At Goldeneye. At least two Bond films ("Dr. No" and Live and Let Die") were filmed near the estate. In 1976, 12 years after Fleming's death the house was sold to Bob Marley who later sold it to Island Records founder Chris Blackwell.

Today the estate operates as an upmarket retreat.
